About the Playing Cards
The First Edition of Wren 300 Playing Cards sold out at the Private View of Chloe Campbell and James Newton’s exhibition Wren on Paper. The playing cards are designed from papercuts which Chloe has drawn and cut out by hand using a scalpel. She has used resources from London Metropolitan Archives and the Friends of the City Churches for the 19 churches that no longer exist and for St Mary Aldermanbury that was taken down and rebuilt in Fulton, Missouri, USA. To see a map Chloe created of all the churches featured in her pack of cards, in approximately the same location as they were originally built in the City of London by the office of Christopher Wren click here.
The cards are ordered by the date of the Saint of the churches’ Feast Day.
